1st Day (Wed.) MADRID

Meet and assistance at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Accommodation at the hotel

2nd Day (Thu.) MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Madrid panoramic city tour; find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Morería, famous for its historical buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum. The contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. Afternoon free to explore the wonders that the city has to offer. Accommodation at the hotel. (B)

3rd Day (Fri.) MADRID – BILBAO

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Madrid “Puerta de Atocha” train station to depart by train to Bilbao. Arrival to Bilbao train station and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. (B)

4th Day (Sat.) BILBAO – BIARRITZ – ST. JEAN DE LUZ – SAN SEBASTIAN

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Biarritz into the French Basque Country. Summer resort for the European Royalty, we will discover the best views of the city and the most famous corners. Saint Jean de Luz will be our second stop, a charming coastal village. Here we will taste a typical local sweet. In Hondarribia, we will stop at the

5th Day (Sun.) SAN SEBASTIAN

6th Day (Mon.) SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning free. In the afternoon, departure to Bilbao. Accommodation at the hotel. (B)

7th Day (Tue.) BILBAO

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive along the river of Bilbao, we will discover the interesting industrial past of the city. Already on the coast, we will stop to see the Vizcaya Bridge, heritage of humanity. Passing by the majestic Castle of Butron, we will arrive into the Biosphere of Urdaibai. From the lookout, we will discover the secrets of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Stage for the famous TV serial, Game of Thrones. In Bermeo, typical fishermen village, we will stop for a walking tour and to enjoy its charms. Tasting of a typical pintxo included. Finally in Gernika, we will visit the interesting Assembly House and the famous Tree of Gernika. Back to Bilbao and time free for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, guided tour to Bilbao with a walking tour of the old town. Accommodation at the hotel. (B)

8th Day (Wed.) – BILBAO – VITORIA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Vitoria, Capital city of the Basque Country, we will start with a panoramic tour and later a walking tour into the interesting center and old town. It is included a tasting of a typical sweet in a quality Basque craft candy store. Once we enter Rioja´s wine region, we will contemplate magnificent views over a sea of vine-yards. We will pass by typical villages and wineries of all types. In Laguardia, we will enjoy a walking tour into the historical quarter. It is one of the most charming and beautiful villages of la Rioja. It is included a guided visit to a traditional cellar with wine tasting. Some free time in Laguardia. Lunch not included. Rest of the day off in Vitoria to enjoy the city. Accommodation at the hotel. 9th Day (Thu.) – VITORIA – BILBAO – MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the schedules, free time in the city. Transfer from the hotel to the Bilbao train station. Arrival to Madrid and transfer to the hotel. (B)

10th Day (Fri.) - MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. (B)
