Day 1 Paris
Arrival at airport and transfer to your hotel .
Day 2 Paris
Panoramic city tour including Eiffel tower and the Trocadero, Palais Royal, Champs de Mars and the Invalides, through to the Bastille and the Conciergerie. Place Concorde and the Louvre. The Grand Opera along the elegant Rue de la Paix and Place Vendome to the famed Camps-Elysees. Overnight in Paris.
Day 3 Paris – Dijon (315km/4h)
Drive south to Burgundy to Dijon via Chablis. Stop for a visit there and taste the famous white wine made from a unique and specific vine - the Chardonnay. Continue to Dijon, former ducal capital, now the main city of Burgundy and undisputed world capital of mustard. Walking tour of the city to see Philippe Le Bon’s tower, the old town and the ducal Palace . Overnight in Dijon.
Day 3 Dijon – Beaune (47km/1h) – Nuits Saint Georges (15km/20min) – Dijon
Full Day tour dedicated to the wine of Burgundy of which Beaune is the undisputed capital. Visit the wine market,see the vaulted cellars, see the old Hotel Dieu and the city ramparts. Then, return to Dijon with a stop on the famous wine route for tasting 4 wines at Chateau de Guilly. Overnight in Dijon.
Day 4 Dijon – Lyon (200km/3h)
First stop of the Day will be in Romaneche-Thorins to taste the famous Beaujolais wines. Continue to Lyon – the culinary capital of France and finish the Day with panoramic city tour including place Bellecour, the Ganuts district and up the hill of Fourviere. Overnight in Lyon.
Day 5 Lyon - Clermont Ferrand (210km/3h30min) – Auvergne (30km/30min)
Departure to Clermont Ferrand, the capital of Auvergne – the land of cheese and old Vulcanos. Short city tour and continue to Saint Nectaire, the village well known with his delicious cheese. Visit some of the factories for cheese tasting. Overnight in Auvergne.
Day 6 Auvergne - Montignac (270km/4h) – Sarlat la Canéda (30km/30min)
Morning drive to the area of Montignac to visit to Lascaux cave showing paintings of the Paleolitic era. Then discover Sarlat la Canéda, city of art, history, architectural heritage and fois grass. Visit some of the beautiful villages around as Beynac, Cazenac or la Roque Cageac and fois grass tasting. Overnight in the area of Sarlat.
Day 7 Sarlat la Canéda – Bordeaux (200km/3h)
Departure to Bordeaux via Bergerac and Monbazillac, passing the truffles area of Perigord. Stop to visit the Castle at Monbazillac - unique and original blend of medieval defensive and Renaissance exuberance. Taste the famous local sweet wine with a fois grass toasts. Early afternoon arrival in the city of Bordeaux – the world wine capital and panoramic tour including all 3 Unesco World heritage sites located there. Overnight in Bordeaux.
Day 8 Bordeaux
Full Day dedicated to the visit the Medoc – the biggest wine producing area in the world. Visit some of the most famous french wine producers at Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Margaux or Chateau Mouton Rothschild, followed by wine tasting. Overnight in Boreaux.
Day 9 Bordeaux - Paris
Transfer to the train station for fast speed TGV train to Paris or to the Bordeaux airport for your final departure.
