Day 1 Tbilisi
Arrival in Tbilisi Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 Tbilisi – Bodbe (115km/1,30h) – Sighnaghi – Tsinandali - Davit Gareji monastery- Tbilisi (60km/1h)
Encounter the true Tbilisi spirit, with the visits to the Old Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, and a Jewish synagogue and a Turkish mosque side by side, reflecting Tbilisi's acceptance and tolerance of different religions. Observe the 19th century wooden Italian dwellings that are still preserved here. See a recent monument, the Tbilisi Sameba Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Caucasus.
Departure to Bodbe. Visit Bodbe temple where lies in rest the enlightener of Georgian nation and spreader of Christianity in Georgia st. Nino. Continue on to Sighnaghi, famous for its traditional carpets. Enjoy the landscapes and discover history. Next destination is Tsinandali, where to visit the museum of famous Georgian Poet Aleksandre Chavchavadze. Next in the programme is Davit Gareji rock-hewn Georgian Orthodox monastery complex of VI century.
Day 3 Tbilisi – Ananury (60km/1h) - Kazbegi(100km/1,30h)
Departure to Kazbegi. Visiting Svetitskhoveli (IV c. AD), Jvari (VI c.) monasteries in Mtskheta. On the way to Kazbegi visiting Ananuri castle complex. In Stefantsminda visiting the museum of famous Georgian writer Aleksandre Kazbegi.
Day 4 Kazbegi – Kutaisi (350km/5h)
Starting with Gergeti Trinity Church (XIV c.) located on the right bank of the river Chkheri, 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi. Departure to Kutaisi. Visiting Gelati (XII c.), Motsameta and Bagrati (XI c.) monasteries and Sathaphlia caves.
Day 5 Kutaisi – Mestia (240km/2,30h)
Departure to Mestia- a highland townlet in northwest Georgia, at an elevation of 1.500 meters in the Caucasus Mountains. Visiting Ethnographic museum and the house museum of famous Georgian alpinist Mikheil Khergiani.
Day 6 Mestia – Ushguli – Kutaisi (290km/3h)
Departure to Ushguli, the highest inhabited village in Europe (2200 metres above sea level). On the way to Ugviri Pass, see the mount summits of Tetnuldi (4852 metres) and Ushba (4700 metres). Visiting Ushguli Ethnographic Museum and Lamaria Church (IX c.). Departure to Kutaisi.
Day 7 Kutaisi - Tbilisi (250km/3h)
Departure to Tbilisi. Transfer to the airport.
