Athens - Mykonos - Santorini - Athens
Day 1 Athens
Arrival at the Athens Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 Athens
The tour starts with a visit of the 2,500-year-old temples of The Acropolis that cast their shadow over the ancient ruins. Get through the Propylaea, a monumental gateway that serves as the entrance to the Acropolis. See the Parthenon, a temple in the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their protector. See the temple of Athena Nike and the small museum with great art treasures. Go through the temple of Olympian Zeus, a colossal ruined temple in the centre of the Greek capital that was dedicated to Zeus, king of the Olympian gods.This Tour shows the enormous contrast between the capital of ancient Greece and cosmopolitan city. See the Arch of Hadrian, a monumental gateway resembling a Roman triumphal arch. See The Hellenic Parliament with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier overlooking Syntagma Square . Enjoy the modern city of Athens. See The Presidential Mansion that is the official residence of the President. It previously served as the Royal Palace. Visit the Olympic Stadium where the first Olympics were held.
Day 3 Athens – Mykonos (4,30h/ferry)
Transfer to the port of Piraeus to board to the ferry boat for Mykonos. Mykonos is considered the most cosmopolitan spot in Greece. The island is famous for its amazing beaches and picturesque villages. Visit the chapel of Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed church of the island. Located in Chora, this white, assymetrical church dates from the 15th century. See the famous whitewashed windmills, trademark of the island, standing on a hill overlooking the city. Enjoy a magnificent view of one of the most beautiful parts of the capital, located on a peak of land, like a small peninsula. See the Pelican, an integral part of the island of Mykonos, the mascot of the island. Get a glimpse of the cute creature as it strolls leisurely in own unhurried pace through the city’s many alleyways. Continue to the Monastery of Paleokastro, located on a hill above Ano Mera. Constructed in the 18th century, this monastery still works as a nunnery. Visit the Castle of Gyzi that stands in ruins today, but its location offers a nice view of the island.
Day 5 Mykonos - Santorini (2,30h/ferry)
Transfer to the port to board the ferry boat for Santorini. Enjoy the view of the unique caldera, the energy and the beauty of one of the top islands in Europe. The volcano is what made Santorini what it is today. It continues to rule the caldera and attracts the attention. Visit the Hot springs, a location at Palia Kameni, one of the two volcanic islands in the middle of Santorini Caldera. The water there has a temperature of about 33 Celcius and it contains sulfur that is good for the skin. See the Ancient Thera, the Classical city of the island, located on Mesa Vouno, 396 m. above sea level. Get to the highest spot of the island (567 meters), located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain's name is Profitis Ilias, coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak. Enjoy a striking view of the entire island, from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia.
Day 6 Santorini - Athens (7h/ferry)
Transfer to the port to board to the ferry boat for Piraeus. Arrival and transfer to selected hotel in Athens.
Day 7 Athens
Transfer to the airport.
