Rome - Orvieto - Sienna - Assisi - Cascia - Loreto - Manoppello - Lanciano - San Giovanni Rotondo - Pompeii - Monte Cassino - Rome

Day 1 Rome
Arrival to Rome airport. Transfer to hotel in Rome. Dinner at hotel.

Day 2 Rome
Have a tour dedicated to the Vatican Museums, which house over 9 miles of the most extensive collection of art in the world. See the Sistine chapel, ceiling by Michelangelo and the Raphael Rooms. Later, visit the St.Peter’s church and end in the superb square designed by Bernini. In the afternoon visit the three important churches - Basilica of St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, St. Paul Outside the Walls. Dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 3 Rome
Morning tour dedicated to the highlights of Ancient Rome - visit the Colosseum, see the Roman Forum, the Pantheon. After that, experience the most famous Rome masterpieces such as Di Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Rome - Orvieto (130km/2h) - Siena (130km/2h)
Today continue the trip to Orvieto. Visit the Gothic Cathedral, and the Fra Angelico Fresco, located in the Chapel of San Brizio. In the Cathedral we will see the Corporal of Bolsena, preserved in a rich reliquary, dated to 1328. Visit the Well of St. Patrick, built by the Pope Clement VII., during the Sack of Rome in 1527 by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. In the afternoon proceed to Siena for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Siena (250km/3,30h)- Assisi (130km/2,30h)
Morning dedicated to the highlights of Siena. Visit the historic center, including the Sanctuary of Saint Mary of Provenzano and the Cross from which St. Catherine received the Stigmata. See the shell-sized Piazza del Campo, where the Palio (horse race) takes place twice a year. Proceed to Assisi for accommodation and dinner.

Day 6 Assisi
Half-day guided tour of the places of St. Francis, the founder of the Franciscan Order: St. Francis Basilica, his paternal house; St. Clare Basilica, St. Mary of the Angels Basilica. Free afternoon. Back to hotel. Dinner at hotel.

Day 7 Assisi - Cascia (90km/2h) - Loreto (150km/3h)
Depart to Cascia where you will visit the Basilica of Santa Rita. In the afternoon, proceed to Loreto for accommodation and overnight.

Day 8 Loreto - Manoppello (170km/2,30h) - Lanciano (70km/1,30h)
Morning visit of the Sanctuary of the Holy House in Loreto, amongst the most famous shrines of Italy. Next stop is Manoppello, a small town famous with its church and the veil, known as the Holy Face of Manoppello. Proceed to Lanciano. Visit the Church of the great Eucharistic Miracle of 8th century. Transfer to hotel in town. Dinner at hotel.

Day 9 Lanciano - San Giovanni Rotondo (160km/3h)
Departure south towards San Giovanni Rotondo, the city of Saint Pio, in which he founded the Home for the Relief of the Suffering. Visit Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church was built in devotion to him. Dinner at hotel nearby.

Day 10 San Giovanni Rotondo - Pompeii (220km/3,30h) - Monte Cassino (120km/2h)
Departure to Pompeii, the Roman city buried during a catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius in ‘79. Visit of the Sanctuary of the city patron - Our Lady of Pompeii - Blessed Virgin Mary. Departure to Monte Cassino, the site in which Benedict of Nursia established his first monastery, the source of the Benedictine Order, ‘529. At the same place, some major battles towards the end of World War II took place. Proceed for accommodation and dinner at a hotel nearby.

Day 11 Monte Cassino - Rome (140km/2,30h)
Have a transfer to Rome Airport for final departure.
