Day 1 Milan
Arrival at Milan Airport and transfer to the city center. Have a half-day city tour dedicated to the highlights of Milan. Visit the largest Gothic Cathedral in Italy, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Sforza Castle. Transfer your hotel and dinner.
Day 2 Milan - Padua (250km/3,30h)
Departure to Padua, the home of St.Anthony, of which he’s the patron. Visit the Basilica named after him. Accommodation and dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 Padua - Venice (150km/1,30h) - Loreto (330km/5h)
Head to Venice and discover one of the most romantic and unique cities in the world. Boat transfer to St.Mark square. Visit the Golden Basilica of San Mark, watch Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Sighs, and Rialto Bridge. In the afternoon departure to hotel near Loreto. Dinner at hotel.
Day 4 Loreto - Lanciano (190km/3h) - San Giovanni Rotondo (160km/3h)
In the morning visit the Sanctuary of the Holy House in Loreto, amongst the most famous shrines of Italy, and proceed to Lanciano to visit the Church of the great Eucharistic Miracle of 8th century. Drive to San Giovanni Rotondo for accommodation and dinner.
Day 5 San Giovanni Rotondo - Monte Sant’Angelo (30km/1h) – S. G. Rotondo (30km/1h)
Morning dedicated to the city of Saint Pio, in which he founded the Home for the Relief of the Suffering. Visit Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church was built in devotion to him. Proceed to Monte Sant’Angelo. Visit Sanctuary of Monte Sant’Angelo sul Gargano, known to be the oldest shrine in Europe. Return to hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Day 6 San Giovanni Rotondo - Cascia (350km/5,30h)
Head north to Cascia. Visit the Basilica of St.Rita and, where her burial place is, and her house of birth. Accommodation and dinner at hotel in Cascia.
Day 7 Cascia - Assisi (90km/2h)
Proceed to Assisi and have a half-day guided tour of the places of St. Francis, the founder of the Franciscan Order: St. Francis Basilica, his paternal house; St. Clare Basilica, St. Mary of the Angels Basilica. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 Assisi - Orvieto (90km/2h) - Rome (130km/2,30h)
Leave Assisi and head to Orvieto. Visit the Gothic Cathedral, and the Fra Angelico Fresco, located in the Chapel of San Brizio. In the Cathedral we will see the Corporal of Bolsena, preserved in a rich reliquary, dated to 1328. Visit the Well of St. Patrick, built by the Pope Clement VII during the Sack of Rome in 1527 by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Proceed to Rome. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 9 Rome
Have a tour dedicated to the Vatican Museums, which house over 9 miles of the most extensive collection of art in the world. See the Sistine chapel, ceiling by Michelangelo and the Raphael Rooms. Later, visit the St.Peter’s church and end in the superb square designed by Bernini. In the afternoon visit the three important churches - Basilica of St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, St. Paul Outside the Walls. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
Day 10 Rome
Morning tour dedicated to the highlights of Ancient Rome - visit the Colosseum, see the Roman Forum, the Pantheon. After that, experience the most famous Rome masterpieces such as Di Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna. Dinner and overnight.
Day 11 Rome
Transfer to Rome airport for final departure.
