Day 1 Arrival Bucharest
Arrive at the airport and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 2 Bucharest
Continue to get acquainted with Bucharest, once called the “Little Paris of the East”. During the tour you will see the Revolution Square with the Romanian Athenaeum and the National Art Museum, as well as Amzei church, Radu Voda Monastery, the Great synagogue, Xenofon street, People's salvation cathedral ( outside view ). Russian church, Holy Friday church. Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 3 Bucharest – Sinaia ( 120km/2h) – Bran ( 50km/1h) – Brasov ( 30km/1h)
In the morning, depart for Sinaia, one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in Romania, also known as the “Pearl of the Carpathians”. Visit Peles Castle, an exquisite piece of architecture that served as the summer residence of the former Romanian Royal family and Pelisor Castle, part of same complex. Proceed to Bran to visit the castle made famous by Bram Stoker's novel as the residence of the vampire count, Dracula. After free time in the souvenir market at the bottom of the castle, proceed to Brasov, fairy tale town founded in the 12 th century by the Saxon settlers. Enjoy a walking tour of the city with the beautiful Council Square. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 4 –Brasov - Rousse (260km/6h)
Continue to Bulgaria, border between Romania and Bulgaria is Danube River. The group will be met by a qualified professional tour guide in Rousse – closest city to the border. The town of Rousse is situated on the Danube river and is one of the prettiest Bulgarian towns, famous for its European style architecture. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5 – Rousse – Ivanovo Rock Monasteries (30km/1h)– Veliko Tarnovo (100km/1h30min)- Tryavna (40km/1h)
After breakfast, departure for the Ivanovo Rock Monastery. The Ivanovo Rock Monastery includes many medieval monk cells, churches and chapels built-in the rocks along the Roussenski Lom river. A colony of settlers lived here in the time between 3rd c. A.D and 17th century A.D. The natural caves in the rocks were enlarged and shaped to serve the needs of the monks. The walls display frescoes and painting with scenes from the Bible. The monastery was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list in 1979. Sightseeing of the monastery and departure for Veliko Turnovo. Veliko Turnovo is situated on the banks of the Yantra river on three hills. It was the capital city of the second Bulgarian Kingdom. The town is very picturesque, with its houses built amphitheatrically on the slopes of the hills. Visit of the Tzarevetz fortress - fortress of the kings of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. Continue to the romantic town of Tryavna, a typical Bulgarian town that has preserved Bulgarian traditions and culture. Tryavna is famous for its wood carving and icon painting school. Accommodation and dinner at hotel.

Day 6 – Tryavna – Kazanlak (60km/1h30min)- Plovdiv (100km/2h)
After breakfast departure to the capital of the Thracian kings and the rose valley - Kazanluk. Visit to the Thracian tomb, dating back to 4th c. B.C. The Thracian tomb is the oldest tomb in Europe with perfectly preserved paintings, a proof for the great culture of the Thracian civilization. Departure for Plovdiv. The six hills and the romantic old town give to Plovdiv an unique atmosphere. Dinner in a rustic restaurant. Overnight.

Day 7 – Plovdiv – Devin (90km/2h30min)
After breakfast enjoy guided tour of the old town of Plovdiv, a typical example of Bulgarian Renaissance architecture. Visit to the Roman amphitheater dating back to the 2 c. A.D and the Ethnographical museum. departure to Devin, located in the Rodopi mountain range. Devin is a famous spa resort with beautiful nature, fresh mountain air and a bunch of mineral springs. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 8 – Devin – Bansko (140km/3h)
In the morning explore The Trigrad Gorge -a nature landmark, one of the most impressive in Rhodope Mountains. It is actually the third longest gorge in Bulgaria after Yagodina Gorge and the gorge near the town of Trun. In the evening departure to Bansko via the picturesque Rodopi mountains. Sightseeing of Bansko with visit to the St. Trinity church (1832-1835). Dinner in a typical local tavern with men choir performance. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9 – Bansko – Rila Monastery (90km/2h)– Sofia (120km/2h)
Departure for the Rila Monastery - Bulgaria's biggest and most famous monastery, located in the Rila Mountain Range. The monastery was founded in the 10 th century by St. Ivan Rilski. Optional lunch in a restaurant nearby the monastery with fresh grilled trout. Contiue to the capital city of Sofia. Vist to the St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral with 12 guilded domes, the biggest cathedral on the Balkan peninsula. Sightseeing of the Russian church and the Rotunda of St. George, the oldest church in Sofia, dating back to 4th c. A.D. Folk dinner in a local restaurant in the city center - typical Bulgarian specialties and exclusive folk show. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 – Sofia
Enjoy a city tour of Sofia and visit the Russian church and Alexander Nevski Cathedral. During the tour you will also see the National Theatre, the Rotonda of Sf George and St Nedelya church. Visit to the National Historical Museum and have some free time in the evening for shopping and relaxing.

Day 11 Sofia Departure
Departure transfer to airport
